In order to achieve better protection against marten bites, a marten shocker should be installed above each entry hole in the engine compartment. Here, the chosen installation location should be as deep as possible. The device operates at 12-second intervals (see LED). The device must be installed so that it points with the marten image facing towards the slip-in opening. If there are multiple openings, one unit should be installed on each side of the motor. Before installation or after a marten visit, be sure to perform an engine wash to remove the scent mark. With a current consumption of approx. 20 mA, discharge of the vehicle battery is virtually impossible. The signal is not audible to the human ear.
